Enrollment Process for the 26-27 School Year

We are currently full with a waitlist in all grades for the 26-27 school year. 

Students attending one of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools' four elementary Montessori schools (Sedgefield Montessori, Chantilly Montessori, Highland Mill Montessori, and Lincoln Heights Montessori) have guaranteed placement at Williams Montessori starting in their 7th grade year. Students continuing from one of our feeder schools are automatically assigned and do not need to complete the steps below. We also welcome applications from families with previous Montessori experience and students transitioning with other educational backgrounds if space becomes available. We accept new students through the 10th grade year.

Please note that we are an express stop school. Williams Montessori students are not assigned buses to their homes. 

We will also be relocated to the Marie G. Davis campus at 3351 Griffith St. Charlotte, NC 28203 effective August 2026.

Step 1

Visit Us! Attend a Williams Walk-Through or Prospective Family Open House. The link to register is on our website. 

Step 2

Enroll in CMS and participate in the magnet lottery. This year's lottery has concluded. Families who apply after the lottery deadline may complete a request for transfer to JT Williams Montessori and will be put in line after the waitlist students from the lottery. You must complete our entry requirements outlined in step 3 to be considered. 

Step 3 (Entry Requirements)

Complete the Montessori application. Please note that this step must be completed in order to be considered and is in addition to the lottery or request for transfer. Submit the completed JT Williams Application to Donna Rice with the student's name in the subject line or mail the completed application to
